As managing director, Dan forges new paths and grows NFP in Michigan. Dan is integral in bringing acquisitions that share NFP’s core values and guiding seamless team integration.

Prior to NFP, Dan was appointed CEO of Cambridge Consulting Group in 2014. He has over 30 years of industry experience. Dan has a passion for impacting lives and promotes professional focus and client education. Dan oversees Wealth Management, where he focuses on innovative estate planning, as well as developing plans for preserving and managing wealth and executive benefits programs.

For several years, Dan has been selected by dBusiness and HOUR Magazine as a Five-Star Wealth Manager in Estate Planning, an honor fewer than 7% of financial professionals in Detroit receive. Dan believes in listening and accessibility, whether at the firm or serving clients.

He is a strong supporter of Detroit and involved with several civic and business associations. He is also active with the Children’s Foundation, Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, Henry Ford Health System’s Cancer Institute Task Force, Detroit Country Day School Foundation, Walsh College Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Oakland & Macomb Counties. Dan resides in Bloomfield Hills with his wife and three children.

Al currently serves as managing director with NFP. Previously, Al was the executive chairman of Cambridge Consulting Group.

With over 30 years in finance and insurance, Al has built an impeccable reputation and was recently named a Five-Star Wealth Manager in Estate Planning by Business and HOUR Magazine. In 2021 and 2022, Al was named one of America’s top financial security professionals by Forbes. He is the highest-ranking financial security professional in Michigan and in the top 40 in the United States.

Along with his responsibilities at NFP, he advises insurance and financial firms throughout the United States on product development and distribution. He believes one of the firm’s predominant skills is helping clients synthesize their goals. He works to ensure that NFP always offers objectivity and a transparent, inclusive process to clients.

Al is active in business, civic and community organizations throughout Detroit and across the nation. Al also enjoys traveling, golfing, skiing, reading and spending time with his family. He and his wife Tracey reside in Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Palm Beach, FL.

As vice president, Sales, Wealth and Retirement, Dan Taylor focuses on consulting with corporate clients on qualified retirement plan strategies.

Dan assists with recordkeeper selection, fiduciary needs and a strategic approach to employee communication. In addition to advising on ERISA qualified plan designs, his practice concentrates on incorporating non-qualified executive benefit programs to complement broader group strategies.

Centered on core values and a passion for NFP’s team and clients, Dan’s prioritization of building authentic interactions influences the way he consults with clients. Dan holds a FINRA Series 7 & 66 Registrations and is a licensed life, accident and health insurance agent in the state of Michigan.

Fundamental to Dan’s identity is active in the professional community and the charitable community. He is involved with several organizations, including the Detroit Economic Club Career Readiness Academy, and is a board member of Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak, MI. Additionally, Dan has volunteered for a number of years as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Detroit.

Dan enjoys traveling, golfing, handball, bowling and puzzling with his family. Dan resides in Royal Oak, MI, with his wife, Amy, their two children, Alexandra and Trudy and their dog, Leo.

As vice president, Kevin Bates works with professionals, business owners and high net-worth individuals, advising them on strategies for asset accumulation and wealth preservation. Prior to joining NFP, Kevin was a partner at Cambridge Consulting Group.

Kevin has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and offers a unique approach to financial planning that goes beyond the normal scope of client service. This approach includes consideration of a client’s taxation, retirement planning, business structure and real estate through all stages, from accumulation of wealth to estate planning and philanthropy.

Kevin is recognized by HOUR Magazine as a Five-Star Wealth Manager in values-based planning for families. To serve his clients’ needs, Kevin educates his clients and utilizes financial mapping to help address both their financial and lifelong goals.

An active member of the professional community, Kevin is affiliated with many local organizations including The Greater Detroit Association of Life Underwriters and the Society of Finance Service Professionals. He also served previously as a registered financial advisor for the National Football League Players Association. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys skiing, playing golf and traveling.

Kevin and his wife have three children, and currently reside in Clarkston, MI.

Tim Fazzini currently serves as a sales associate for Wealth Management and believes in creating long-term relationships with his clients. Prior to this role Tim, was a business development coordinator and a client service representative for Cambridge Consulting Group.

There, Tim was responsible for handling account and policy summaries and updates, assisting clients with account-related issues and questions, executing authorized trades and providing general account support and assistance to the Wealth Management team.

Tim’s background in client service allows him to foster deeper and more meaningful connections with clients, working to provide financial peace of mind so that his clients can focus on other aspects of their lives. Tim believes that nothing shows more value to a client than having a service team that is both attentive and reliable

In his spare time, Tim enjoys attending major league Detroit sporting events, traveling, golf, other outdoor activities and spending time with friends and family.
